Blank Space Collective

The opening night for the exhibition from Blank Space was a packed out medley of fine art from young and emerging artists, including my friend and sculptor Hannah Brown! Who exhibited Ash Boxes ... does was it says on the tin and simply comments on the structural form of the materials without frill.
There was also Magic Carpet – a Persian carpet slightly suspended from the ground with tiny magic mushrooms spawning out of it! Although it was supposed to be a comment on drugs and a hallucinogenic journey, I found it to be strangely uncanny as the mushrooms only became visible in the already mind boggling pattern, after a few seconds, whereby you scan around and more appear as if the fungi are silently invading what is supposed to be a man made space! Maybe I’m just OCD?! Anyway the point is, it was a really fun exhibit with free cake some drinks and lots of equally open minded people! That’s my kind of evening!
